A New Year

Hopefully last Christmas pic with just the 5 of us! Had to go with the more "real" pic of our hysterical family!

Tyler, Jake and Brady ready to open presents!

Well, another year has come and gone. Where did the time go? Honestly, I'm glad it's going by quickly because that just means we are that much closer to holding our sweet baby girl! Christmas came and went and all I could think about, while watching the boys open their presents, was if she even knew it was Christmas. Did she see a Christmas tree? Did she have a present under the tree? Did she eat a special meal? And most importantly, did she know it was the celebration of Jesus's birthday? Sadly, I'm pretty sure the answer is no!

The boys were extra sweet this Christmas and wondered those same questions. Brady, of course is too young to wonder. Jake is my worrier...he wanted to know if we were going to get our baby sister and present and send it to her like we sent Uncle Ryan and Lauren gifts. No buddy, we don't know who she is yet, but God does! That of course presents another question of his, "then whey can't we go get her?" Good question buddy! It warms my heart every night when the boys pray for our baby sister. They don't even know her, but still tend to care and pray for her. Now that all might change once she is finally HERE!

I read a blog yesterday that I stole something from. She said that every night she prays for the protection of her baby girl (this was while she was waiting for a referral), and for her to feel she is loved and cared for. That's my prayer everyday. But then she said that she prays that her baby girl will see her and her family in her dreams so that the day they meet, it will be like she has seen them before. I know it sounds a little corny, but you know what, I did it last night! And I will probably continue to do it every day! I just loved that!

So, we have been getting asked about a "report" on our adoption. I think it's funny how people want a "report". Don't know what to call it, just think that's amusing. Anyways, we are now just telling people we are 5-8 months (hopefully) for a referral instead of 6-9 months. Not much of a difference, but I like to think that it is. The good thing is that we haven't gotten a call or email form our Family Coordinator saying that Krasnoyarsk has found any problems with our dossier. She said that it never goes over there without some form being wrong...so that's HUGE! Yay for me being so thorough!

So that's all the news I have for now. Please keep praying for our little girl...and her dreams:) Hopefully by this time next year, we will be a family of 6! Yikes! Happy New Year!
